The Airdrie Techmation Thunder managed to get back on track last weekend by winning Friday and Sunday night their record at 2-2.
On Friday, the Thunder got a big 9-3 win over the Three Hills Thrashers. In the first half, goals were scored by Jacob Cathcart, Dace Carlson and Jeremy Jobin to make it 3-0. In the second period, Joey Haden of the Thunder scored two goals while the Thrashers also managed to score two to make it 5-2 late in the period. In the third period, it was Thunder as they managed to score 4 more goals than the Thrashers. Airdrie goals were scored by Aidan Doorbos, Jeremy Jobin, Riley Westlund and Jared Miller to make it 9-3.
In the Thunder’s second game of the weekend, they managed to get a big 2-0 against the Sylvan Lake Wranglers.
the game’s only two goals were scored by Joey Haden and Zach Couling. Tunder goaltender Josh Feddema posted the shutout with 28 saves.
Next on the Thunder’s schedule is a Friday home game against the Coaldale Copperheads. The puck drop will take place at 8 p.m. at Ron Ebbesen Arena.
