Bachelorette: David Garayeli ‘not friends’ with Brooke Blurton

The couple split just a month after the end of the 2021 series of the Bachelorette, and it’s clear there’s no love lost between the former flames.

Bachelorette winner David Garayeli has slammed his ex Brooke Blurton in an astonishing Instagram rant.

The couple split just a month after the end of the 2021 series of the Bachelorette, and it’s clear there’s no love lost between the former flames.

During in an Instagram Q&A with his followers, David was asked if he was still friends with Brooke.

“It’s a strong no from me,” he responded, adding a skull emoji.

The pair’s war of words started earlier this year, when Brooke, 27, claimed David blindsided her with a public announcement of their break-up in order to “humiliate” and “silence” her.

Speaking on NITV’s The Point, Brooke expressed her disappointment that David chose to announce they’d gone their separate ways without her input.

“Being in the public eye is already so difficult,” Brooke, who first appeared on Nick Cummins’ season of The Bachelor, said.

“Dealing with criticism and dealing with trolls and putting yourself out there in such a vulnerable place, it’s already so hard to navigate.

“Adding the layers and complexities of a very public relationship being from a show that doesn’t have the biggest success rate in terms of relationships working out. It’s a lot of pressure,” she explained.

“I had no choice in any part of (the split) going public, but it did.

“I would’ve preferred not to, I feel like it was just to humiliate me, have one over me.

“I was silenced, I was defenceless, I just had to cop it,” she said.

Darvid responded at the time, saying: “When will it end? This was never my intention … There’s a lot more to the story that hasn’t been shown.

“I’ve stayed quiet in hopes it would simmer out, incredibly confused as to why it’s being dragged on.”
