Enzyme Feed Innovations Support Animal Welfare, Farmer Sustainability and Productivity Efforts
ATLANTE, January 24, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — At the IPPE show in AtlantaBASF and Cargill today announced their expanded cooperation, adding United States (USA) to their existing food enzyme development and distribution agreement. Together, the two companies are committed to bringing innovative enzyme-based solutions to market, generating distinctive value for animal feed customers. By combining BASF’s enzymatic research and development strengths with Cargill’s application know-how and broad market reach, the partners will form a common innovation pipeline for animal protein producers.
With the expanded geographic reach, BASF and Cargill aim to bring the voice and business knowledge of US protein producers to jointly develop the next generation of enzymes. In this next stage of collaboration, BASF and Cargill are working to provide solutions that address productivity, sustainability and cost challenges for US customers.

In 2021, BASF and Cargill have evolved the relationship beyond pure distribution agreements towards the joint development of new enzyme technologies and applications. This extensive partnership builds on the successful go-to-market collaboration between the companies across Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, Spainthem Middle Eastand Africa. Under this partnership, BASF and Cargill will co-develop, produce, market and sell customer-centric enzyme products and solutions.
