Celtic crashed out of Europe after a disappointing 2-0 defeat in Norway.
Bodo were excellent as they scored early in the first half before frustrating Ange Postecoglou’s side with some resolute defending and organization. Then securing a second with 20 minutes to play to all but seal the tie.
Postecoglou made six changes for this second leg tie and opted to wait until half-time before bringing on Captain Callum McGregor.
His influence resulted in an upturn in intensity from Celtic but in the end clinical finishing was lacking.
Bodo triumphs 5-1 winners over the two legs and progresses to reach the last 16 of the Europa Conference League.
The Norwegian champions skelped the Special One and his Roma team 6-1 here earlier in the season so the aggregate result may look a harsh reality for Celtic but if wasn’t for goalkeeper Joe Hart it could’ve been more.
Celtic now turn their attention to a trip to Easter Road to face Hibernian on Sunday lunch time as they look to keep hold of their three point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
