Global well integrity and production optimization expert Coretrax has completed a world-record project in the Utica Basin, Northeast America, for a major gas operator with its scalable ReLine technology.

The company successfully deployed the ReLineMNS system at three wells and extended a total of over 27,000 feet of tubing throughout the campaign. With one of the stretch coatings reaching 9,000 feet in its expansion, all installations broke the previously held record of 7,243 feet by at least 1,000 feet. The total setup time from the start of expansion to exiting the top of the liner took only nine hours per well. a total of seven days on site. Covering the well integrity issue with a full length liner, the overall setting time was significantly less than competing products on the market, clocking in at approximately 1000 feet per hour.

Coretrax technology has been deployed in each of the wells with a liner of 4.25 inches outside diameter. When expanding the liner, the inner diameter post-expansion was 4.1 inches with an internal pressure capability well in excess of 10,000 psi, covering the wellbore issues identified.

Scott Benzie, Technical Director at Coretrax, commented, “Our advanced clog-free expandable technology allows operators to effectively isolate well integrity issues and proceed immediately with their next operations without having to drill out a clog, allowing our customers to access considerable delays and costs. savings on their projects.

“The engineered materials used in the expandable technology ensure that reliability is maintained throughout operation, resulting in consistent expansion that reflects our attention to detail.”

“The highly skilled members of our team from the operations and applications departments were key to achieving this world record and providing our valuable services for every well. This project is a testament to the strong and trusted relationship we have established with our client.
