  • Donald Trump has complained that he didn’t have “the same time” to air his baseless claims of voter fraud.

  • “I DEMAND EQUAL TIME!!!” wrote the former president in an article on Truth Social.

  • A few days earlier, Trump released a 12-page statement criticizing the Jan. 6 panel investigation.

Former President Donald Trump raged Thursday on Truth Social, demanding equal airtime on national television during the January 6 committee’s prime-time hearings.

Trump posted a message on his social media platform hours before the committee’s third hearing on Thursday, saying the lack of airtime was unfair to him.

“The Fake News Networks perpetuate Russia, Russia, Russia (same sick, here we go again!) type lies, lies and misinformation (and so on!),” Trump wrote.

“This is a one-sided, highly partisan witch hunt, the likes of which has never been seen in Congress before. Therefore, I hereby demand EQUAL TIME to spell out the massive voter fraud and violation of democratic security!” Trump added, once again repeating his own baseless allegations of voter fraud.

The former president then followed up with another message, this time in all caps, reading: ‘I DEMAND EQUAL TIME!!!’

This week, Trump released a 12-page statement denouncing the Jan. 6 investigation. In that statement, he claimed without justification that the January 6 panel investigating the riot was there to prevent him from running for president again in 2024.

Many US television stations aired the January 6 hearings during prime time. The committee held the third of its six public hearings on Thursday afternoon, detailing how the Trump camp pressured former Vice President Mike Pence to void the election.
