Fortnite introduces Social Tag to help players find better teammates

Fortnite the gameplay is very dynamic and it’s great fun to play with friends. Sometimes we land with absolutely great teammates, but sometimes it’s even very difficult to communicate. Often we team up with players with a totally different way of approaching the game. epic games as always had an idea to make the gameplay even easier and more interesting for loopers. They recently introduced a new feature, social etiquette to help players find better teammates in Fortnite.

Players can now add a social tag to get like-minded teammates

Epic Games has offered a new option to add social tags to your profiles. Now these social tags are not complicated to manage, you will have 3 options to fill in. The following options must be filled in:

  • Your favorite game mode
  • Your gaming atmosphere (mic off, on, camper, rusher)
  • Prefer competitive event

How to Add a Social Tag to Your Fortnite Profile

The social tag will make it much easier to create matches because you can send party invitations to the player with similar social tags and similarly you can also receive invitations. The invitation will be sent and received by the players of the same server region. Players can send these invites from the new Search party section in the sidebar.

  1. Click on the profile icon on the sidebar
  2. Select + Add Tag
  3. This will activate a social tag in your profile

This is LFG (group search) feature of Fortnite. You will need to enable match finder to activate this system. You can turn it on and off at any time. Where playing in duos, trios and squads seeking the group would be optional, the normal invite system will remain. This system is a very good initiative by Epic Games to help players compete against players with similar playstyles.
