GAA Hurling is the second most popular Gaelic sport in Ireland. The sport was established at the same time as Gaelic football in an official way and it continues to this very day. Hurling is one of the oldest sports in the world with its origins tracing back to 4,000 years ago with the first note of the sport dating back to 1200 BCE. The sport is still incredibly popular in certain counties of Ireland with it being most popular in Kilkenny. Hurling was actually a sport at the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis, Missouri but that was the only time it was featured.
