Masked Singer Australia 2022: Judges revealed for season four

A former Spice Girl and a social media influencer are among the new line-up of judges for season four of The Masked Singer Australia.

Social media influencer Abbie Chatfield, Chrissie Swan and Spice Girl Mel B will be joining Dave Hughes on the judging panel for the 2022 edition of The Masked Singer Australia.

Chatfield posted the reveal on her Instagram account on Thursday.

“I am so thrilled to be joining this incredible panel of judges on @themaskedsingerau this year. What an absolute honour to be joining @dhughesy , @chrissieswan and @officialmelb! I SIMPLY CANNOT WAIT!” she said.

Mel B also posted about her enthusiasm for returning to Australia.

“I’m bringing all my secret inside knowledge to this. But more to the point, I’m bringing the fun,” she said.

“Fasten your seatbelts everyone, it’s going to be a rollercoaster ride.”

There’s no official premiere date for season four of the popular show.

US pop star Anastacia was crowned last season’s winner.

Anastacia, comedian and presenter Em Rusciano and former Australian Idol contestant Axle Whitehead were the final three contestants to be unmasked during Tuesday’s grand finale, having performed as the Vampire, Dolly and Mullet respectively.

Anastacia was arguably this season’s biggest ‘get’ – a platinum-selling international pop star who had the biggest song in Australia back in 2000 with her mega-hit I’m Outta Love. That was the first of a string of hit singles and albums for the 53-year-old singer.

Anastacia says she was drawn to take part in the show because it gave her a chance to perform during the pandemic.

“The industry is completely frozen. We have no stages to go on, we can‘t have crowds, and I understand that because I want to keep people safe, but I miss doing my job and I really, really miss singing. And so this was such a beautiful, like, get out of jail free card,” she said.
