Gagliardi and Charlie Evans will coach the event, which Lake Murray will host from October 16-22.
“Charlie and Anthony will give our team that extra edge,” US Angling chairman Tony Forte said. “We’re fishing for gold and a signature performance from our USA Bass team.”
Team USA Bass will face teams from around the world, including Italy, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia, South Korea, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Mexico and Costa Ric.
The 2022 USA Bass World Team includes team captain Scott Martin, Jacob Wheeler, Scott Canterbury, David Dudley, Fred Roumbanis, James Watson, Mark Rose and David Fritts.
“We are thrilled to host the World Bass Championship and to have Lake Murray, a global fishing destination, be the first to host this inaugural event. We look forward to welcoming different countries around the world and showing them our Southern hospitality,” said Miriam Atria, President and CEO of the Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board.
