USA national team fans have a double action schedule on Tuesday, June 28, as the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana also return with the first set of the Round of 16.
A ticket to the 2023 FIFA Under-20 Men’s World Cup will be on the line when the USA Men’s Under-20 team takes on Costa Rica in a regional tournament. Two more tickets for the U-20 Men’s World Cup will be distributed: Panama against Honduras and the European qualifiers between Slovakia and Austria will see the winner earn a place.
The United States Women’s National Team will play a few hours later when they host Colombia in a friendly. This is the final tweak ahead of the CONCACAF W Championship which will have World Cup and Olympics berths on the line. This tournament will begin on July 4.
The round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana begin with the first set of the first legs, and the question (as always) will be who can stop the Brazilian clubs. Four of them will be in action with the Libertadores showdown between Brazil’s Corinthians and Argentine giants Boca Juniors being the pick of the lot (8:30 p.m. ET).
