Spurs close on deals for Everton’s Richarlison and Barcelona’s Lenglet | Transfer window

Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal to buy Richarlison from Everton. The striker is a key target for Antonio Conte, who wants to add more depth to his attack, and the transfer negotiations are close to being finalized.

Everton have stood for around £50m and have previously been cool on Spurs’ attempts to include players such as Dutch winger Steven Bergwijn in a swap deal. Bergwijn is a target for Ajax.

The signing would be a boost for Conte. Richarlison, who played a major role in helping Everton stay on their feet, wants to join Spurs and wants to play in the Champions League. He was also a target for Chelsea, although they did nothing for him.

Tottenham are also close to an agreement to bring defender Clement Lenglet on loan from Barcelona for the season. The 27-year-old, who has 15 caps for France, started seven La Liga appearances in the 2021-22 campaign.

West Ham progress in talks with Villarreal on a deal to sign Arnaut Danjuma. A fee has yet to be agreed or personal terms discussed, but confidence is growing that West Ham will sign the Dutch winger for a fee of around €40m (£34.5m) plus a fee additional.

David Moyes wants additions in attack and is interested in signing a versatile striker. Danjuma can play on the left or in the middle.
