Jordan McLean was ruled out after sustaining a hamstring injury on Thursday. Knights mainstay Jacob Saifiti will instead join the 17-man squad in McLean’s place after being named to reserve earlier in the week. Sharks skipper Dale Finucane was added to the extended squad on Friday.
Nicho Hynes was originally named as the 19th man but has since tested positive for COVID and will remain in self-isolation for the game. Jack Wighton will feature as the 18th man after the Blues opted to retain Stephen Crichton and Matt Burton in centres.
Eels skipper Clint Gutherson, Knights mainstay Jacob Saifiti and Cowboys hooker Reece Robson remain on the expanded squad following Hynes’ departure. Chad Townsend also joined the Blues camp on Thursday as Hynes’ replacement.
