The FIBA U18 Americas Women’s Championship came to a close on Wednesday, with the United States and Canada each leading their respective groups.
Therefore, Canada will face El Salvador, while the United States will start the playoffs against Mexico. Argentina will face Colombia, while Puerto Rico will face Brazil.
The United States won all of their games, scoring 280 points overall while limiting their opponents to just 98 points. Canada, similarly, scored 237 points while allowing only 133 during group play and went undefeated.
Isuneh Brady led the way for the United States, scoring 17 points per game. Aalyah Del Rosario, meanwhile, was deadly all over the court. Averaging 12.0 points and 12.3 rebounds per game, she is the only player on Team USA to average a double-double. Jasmine Bascoe has been particularly good for Canada, averaging 10 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game. T’yana Todd led the team with 16 points per game.
