WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition: Finalist for Perth and country revealed

The finalists for WA’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition have been revealed.

Over the past month, 63 venues have competed to attract votes from punters across WA.

On Wednesday, eight venues (four metro and four country) are one step closer to being crowned the creator of the Best Steak Sandwich Competition, hosted by The Australian Hotels Association (WA) and Furphy.


Bolgart Hotel

Loosefoot Saloon (Wundowie)

North West Brewing Company (Karratha)

Settlers Tavern (Margaret River)


Karalee on Preston (Como)

Seven Sins Perth Hills

The Byford Tavern

The Last Local (Canning Vale)

AHA (WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the competition has again proven to be extremely successful, with chefs across the State creating a range of exciting variations on the classic pub meal.

“Despite the ongoing impact of COVID-19, Western Australians have turned out in force to support their local pubs, restaurants, taverns and hotels,” Mr Woods said.
