Jaiden Hsu, a 13-year-old singer from Northfield, IL, has been chosen to attend the 2022 International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) in Germany, representing the United States in the international vocal competition Colors of Voices. As one of 13 grand finalists, Jaiden performed a traditional American folk song, Shenandoah, to a crowd of approximately 1,500 in Paderborn, Germany. Jaiden will also perform in Berlin on June 26, in a final production staged by the 160 participating countries.
Founded in 2002, the IFLC celebrates 20 years of promoting cross-cultural friendship, collaboration, diversity and peace. In today’s world of international conflict and tragedy, IFLC’s message is a refreshing reminder of the globally shared hope for peace. The program cultivates lasting friendships among its participants, which bridge linguistic and cultural differences and celebrate diversity.
IFLC artists will also tour North America in October 2022, with shows in Los Angeles, New Jersey and Toronto. More information about the program and events can be found at https://intflc.org.
